Hi folks. I see this question a lot.

First off it is the wrong question to ask.

The question you should ask is: Are ther any good dropshippers for product ABC? And the reason you are asking that question is because you know that product ABC is a good NICHE for you to start exploring.

    Ho do you know that?

Well you did your homework and found out what sells on Ebay without having 5 BILLION competitors selling the same thing. You did that by going to pulse.ebay.com and looked through all categories until you found a GOLD MINE.

By the time the ebay rookies catch up with your HOT niche, you already uncovered another hot NICHE, while the Ebay rookies are cursing Ebay for shutting their accounts down for selling FAKE stuff or scraping by in the OVERCROWDED and LOW MARGIN electronics field.

    To be continued

So you just uncovered another hot niche. Now you are hunting for a reliable supplier or dropshipper.

You go to Alibaba, you do a search and find a good "GOLD SUPPLIER" with at least 2 years as a "GOLD SUPPLIER". Being experienced you know there is nothing like having physical inventory, so you try and negotiate a good deal, AFTER you ordered some samples.

    Get my drift people?? :)

Sure you can dropship and make money on ebay but your margins will be low. Selling FAKES on EBAY is a NO NO. It's a lose lose proposition.

The biggest skill you need to develop as an online retailer is the ability to find a NICHE! Once you find it everything else will fall in place.

    P.S.

If you MUST buy fakes buy them locally. New York, LA are drowning in that stuff. You will literally trip over the vendors selling that at cheaper prices than the Chinese "dropshipper." Why? They come in by the CONTAINERS, which means the shipping charges per(bag or shoe) item is less than $1.00

P.P.S. The best NICHES are the ones where you can find USA suppliers for.

    P.P.S.

chinavasion.com, dreamextreme.com doba.com and or worldwide brands.com will leave you with very SLIM margins which are NOT suitable for Ebay most of the time.

    P.P.P.S.

Did you hear about the guy who lives in the USA that started selling on Ebay and had sales in his FIRST year of over $250.00,00?

He did that without buying inventory! AND with USA supplier. What did he sell?
Airconditioners. He struck a deal with the manufacturer and it was a VERY HOT summer :D

dreamextreme.com was a typo. it should have been dealextreme.com

The are legit but shipping is slooooooooooooooooooooow and margings are narrow, but if you look carefully you could uncover a niche product.

Still on the subject if you are going to dropship items, make sure THEIR stock is sufficient for that item.

Yes I sell on Ebay and I have a powerseller account with 186 feedbacks(i find that only 25 to 30% of the people leave feedback)

Oh and if you want to buy my Ebay account the price is

    $1,000,000,000,000

LOL in other words it is NOT for sale :D

    Hi,

You look at pulse > find a top 10 in any category and work from there.

from your top ten list > click on those

Next . click on COMPLETED LISTINGS

    drill down from there

    narrow down the subcategories

You are looking for subcategories that have over 60% actual SOLD items

    It takes time and practice

But keep in mind there are tons of categories - sub categories.

Alternatively you can also go to Amazon and do something similar in their best seller lists hxxp://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers

As I said before EVERY BODY is selling name brands designer stuff & consumer electronics so the pickings will be slim in those areas unless you are willing to risk you account and sell counterfeits.

Think outside of the box :D
