Hi can somebody recommend me a good domain registrar based/located in india ?

Yupp I always buy from bigrock. Another good registrar is crazydomains.in (they have very low renewal charges. Check it out)

godaddy now in india. coupons are everywhere, find yourself one. You can also pay through net banking.

i prefer domain india

Bigrock.in would be a good choice. They have call centers in India, so support won't be an issue. I have 3 domains with them and the best part is when you buy the domains, they provide you with free whois protection. They have a campaign going on where they are providing first domain name for 99 INR whereas if you go to buy somewhere else, the price is 600 INR.

If you are considering to buy hosting, then I would recommend hostgator because you may not find any reputed web hosting provider in India.
