I have a good domain name from 2008 in sports. I've used it, in the past for squeeze pages, and every now and again when I would be inspired to right content for it, for no longer than a month.

After learning about content etc, I don't need much. Now, maybe I can use it for a platform to sell things on clickbank and/or have some adsense money come in. Maybe collect emails - there actually aren't 'that many' "good" sites in my niche. Most spin the same content, yet have message boards etc connected to their site.

I have access to all of the 'news' before most. So figure I might as well take advantage of it.

So my question is, did the 4 years of sporadic content HURT my site to the point of no repair? - for those of you who are in the know.

And what would YOU do with this site?

thanks

Ok, the niche is Wrestling / Sport Entertainment.

I don't mind being all full disclosure -ish

I thought as long as it hasn't had google penalty, all age was good age?

Just like wine?

Thanks mate.

I've reused my old domain lotsa of times with great success. Nothing wrong with that.

Even had penalized domains cool off and recreated with new content, was a little slower but took off anyway.

Why do you think people buy old aged domains anyway if they could not recreate with new content

That's a good point. People do buy used domains all the time. The only worry I had was having 'old' content on it. Then again, I guess the idea is that as long as it's not duplicated (which it's not) content is good. And ultimately content + age is good (for a resurrection)

Will report back on how it goes
