Good domain authority but high spam score.

I have been trying to make a new website and this time thinking of not starting with a fresh domain and rather buy an expired domain. I found one that has DA 9, but has three main problems:
1. Spam score is 60%.
2. Backlinks are only from two domains.
3. Language of the website linking to it isn't English as the old website wasn't English itself.

The links point to different pages , so I wonder what if I don't make pages in with the same links. This website was dead few years ago.

IMO this is a flaw in moz or ahrefs algo. It is in fact not real high DA domain. What are those 2 domains linking to that site? Normally, backlinks from 2 domains are not worth its like if you bought new domain.

Good point. Always manually check and verify.
Don't blindly trust bots.
 
Most probably it was used for some type of spam. Is there any past records of 301s?
And I don't think DA 9 is not so high to risk your money. Research a little bit more and you can find other good domains. Btw, which tool you use?

I use ahrefs and websiteseochecker.

The main point is that I don't buy a new website.

These two domains are with DA 60 and 70.

Use Wayback Machine to check the past 301 history and that may help. But I seriously think that it was used for spammy purposes. I would advise against buying that domain. There are a lot of quality expired domains unregistered that you could find. Just be patient and keep searching. :)
 
Check the site with archive.org. I mean all history from beginning till the end. Also check google site:that domain.com, even old dopped domain may have some pages still indexed.

You can get good DR score easily by spamming forum and blog comments - mostly worthless.

Amazing how many posts about nothing can people write about one crappy domain.

That domain is utter shit with 2 referring domains and apparently a sitewide link that pumped the DA. Why? Because it's an idiotic metric for apes, that has nothing to do with reality.

Also, spam score is bullshit as well. All in all, it's a below average, and most likely also spammed domain and I am pretty sure that also abused as PBN before. Learn how to search and evaluate domains properly if you want to go this way.
 
Don't buy this type of domain. Do some more research in finding some good authority domains.

These types of domains mostly have comment backlinks.
