Hey

So recently while i was reading through the forum i came across Solo ads.

Do you guys think that if i use Solo ads to promote clickbank products i would make profit?

I am planning to create an email promoting the product and then use something like bit.ly to shorten the affiliate link then buy the service. around 100 maybe more clicks.

Have you guys or girls had any success doing this?

Thanks, sorry for my bad english.

I have done this for the past year and here is what I found out:

1. Some runs will make a few bucks but most of the time you will spend more than you make

2. the reason to run solo ads is NOT to make sales but rather to gather emails of people already interested in your niche.

3. If you spend the money upfront to create a very good follow up campaign to your solo ad run, you will make more money but also gain more trust in your list

4. i always do the 70/30 rule when it comes to my follow up emails.....70% good and free content and 30% selling. mix it up....1-3 emails good content 4th email sell, 5-7 emails good conent/free bonus

5. solos can be cheap if done right and for example

- you buy 500 clicks at about $.55 per click (this is what the really good clicks cost) so you spend $275 for the solo ad run
- of those 500 about 30-40% will opt in so your list will grow by about 200 each run
- of those clicks about 1%-2% will buy so you will do about 2-4 sales
- each sale of clickbank makes you about $30 on average (depending on niche and product) so you will make about $60-$120 on average, per run

so you really only spent about $150- $180 for your list of 200 BUT if you treat them right and give them good value that 200 will eventually buy something........

Now there are runs where i spend $150 and made $250 but that is uncommon to make a decent profit on solo ads...again the main goal is to grow your list with great customers who want to buy....the sales are just a nice bonus!

Best of luck

Totally agree with this. You've got tons of good advice about establishing a quality relationship with list members, providing value, and ultimately extracting value back in the form of trust and sales. Solo ads work a lot better as a lead generation strategy as compared to a sales opportunity.
