Hi, I'm looking for a good, but also cheap webhost to host around 5 sites.
I currently have one but it's having huge downtime and I already lost some money because of that.
    Hostgator in not an option.

    Thank you!

Stable host maybe. How many visitors you get per day?

I looked at stablehost in the past but I don't like the fact that I have to pay 6 months upfront.

I moved to InterServer, let's see if everything goes smooth.

HawkHost is good and cheap. StableHost is both cheap and reliable.

I wouldn't be too worried about "cheap" hosting when looking for a provider. When you pay peanuts, you receive low quality. Head over to hostgator or any company that is reputable in your area.

By cheap I mean good but still decent prices.
But I already got host anyway.

    InterServer.net

I choose them because looks like they're not reselling and have their own datacenter's. I also have a host to backup me so if something goes wrong I just need to change the namservers, wich are pretty fast to change and propagate with namecheap.

That's funny I have just posted my suggestion on another thread asking pretty much the same question. Try asmallorange. I've been using them for a few years now. Great support, cheap and you can host as many wordpress or other sites as you like (package size will determine exactly how many). Shared hosting starts at $35 a year http://asmallorange.com/hosting/shared/
