Hey fellow members. I am looking to sell on ebay and was wondering what are some good authentic items I can sell that can make a decent profit? Also what are some "generic" brand items that I can sell without having to go stealth that also make a decent profit. Thanks guys.

Someone telling you would be like purposely creating more competition for themselves. I would try and first think of what you're interested and your hobbies and think from there. That's how I always found the best way to think of items and ideas, personal experience. Think of general then research into it and you'll find something. Also look into the dropshipping and wholesale hookup subforum.

When you find a good product to sell finding competition is only a good sign. It means that the product is in demand and will keep selling. An item that sells and will always sell decently on ebay is gold and silver

I have some great items that will sell daily with a profit margin of 50 to 100USD per item.
I would do a JV to someone that has a unlimited ebay account with great feedback and a PP account that is verified and unlimited. pm me for details if interested

Probably if you are looking at profit margin over 20% it will have to be electronic items like popular mobile phones. But then again, you'll be probably buying small bulks however others will pick larger bulks because they are assured they can run down the stock at anytime at a profit, so they will get a good discount.

If you are looking at a higher profit margin, it will have to be cheap products ranging from $1-$5 in niche market. You have to do manual market research to get to find out products which will do well, they could be simple yet latest gadgets like computer mouse.

Electronics are a bit of hastle when you buy in bulk. Let's look at clothing, clothing could actually do well, but in recent times there are a lot of fakes being sold. If you are selling authentic items ( which i recommend ) then you should make sure you market your product as being authentic and not being afraid to take real closeup pictures of the clothes and tags, this will help you get the sales you desire.

Honestly, as someone mentioned above, no one will really answer your question straight-forward. You probably should start off in a JV with an established eBay seller, could be very fruitful.

The business environment in recent times is constantly changing, what is a NICHE today is NOT A NICHE tomorrow. Competition sneaks in very quickly, you are making a 100% markup and then overnight someone starts a listing which kills your 100% markup to maybe 5% :(

I dont mean to discourage you, but no one will really reveal their niches so easily. You have work hard for it and dig it out through concrete!

I couldn't agree more but when people copy what you do that is a good sign. You always gotta lead the competition and even start investing in your own product line. Make a name for yourself. There are many niches out there that are booming and will stay so. It is a matter of money and being able to invest in a product you have confidence in.I have sold many items that are the same as marketed items and dont sell for jack because it is generic and not marketed even though i am selling for half the price. Once I have enough to market these the income can be astronomical. People want to see "product reviews" ya dig? There is my tip for those that are looking for some advice as I have given a hint into one of my niches

Just out of the top of my head:
Second hand denim. It looks better with wear and tear, and it costs a lot more in EU than the US.
Army surplus. Those huge armies of years past tend to disappear and they used all kinds of stuff. That stuff can be bought in bulk for peanuts and sold for more.

Hmm how about accessories for the PSVita just came out so people will start to want it.

I've sold numerous different items on Ebay including sunglasses, cameras and medical scrubs. To me the key is offering a quality item at an attractive price - no matter what it is, so any item you can find that offers a reasonable margin should be considered a candidate.

I assume you're trying to be facetious! The point I was making was that any niche on Ebay can be profitable, but stay away from products that are not genuine or of good quality! Unfortunately, many items listed on Ebay fail that test!
