Never too old to watch some good animated series...

Already down with Naruto (both latest and older)
Bleach
Dragon Ball (all of them)

Any other similar suggested ??

If you are into cars at all i think initial D and wangang midnight are pretty good.

Trigun was also great and code geass was ok too

Best:
Hellsing OVA [Action, gore, violence, religion, demons, vampires]

Great:
Death Note [Paranormal, death, violence]
Wolfs Rain [Action, drama]
Sword Art Online [Action, violence, MMORPG/game style](still ongoing)
Jormungand [Action, violence] (Still ongoing)
.hack [Action, violence, MMORPG/Game style]

Good:
Code Geass [Action, violence, mecha]

I'm very picky about what to watch and you'll probably love all of those with the exception of .hack maybe.

yu yu hakusho - Old but good / Noein - Good if you get time/space stuff / X1999 / Tsubassa & XXXholic - bit girly but I like them and loads more :p

Hellsing OVA

Hellsing OVA is still going as well, but it's only released once every 6-24 months.

Legend of the Galactic Heroes. Hands down, it is the best anime series I have watched.

Downloading all... Love the description you have put and sounds very exciting ..!!

Death note
Code Geass
Hellsing
One Piece (Shonen just like Naruto and bleach, powerups, attacks etc)
Fairy Tail (Shonen^)
History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi

Damn Zapdos and anon have already said most of the good ones. But there are still some good ones missing.

Hajime no Ippo
Rurouni Kenshin
Black Lagoon
FullMetal Alchemists
inuyasha

Though personally I have found some faults in the series I have listed (like inuyasha's crappy ending) they are still excellent stories.

Also if you like DBZ then you will love Team Four Star's abridged version of the series

Ah, yeah, Full Metal Alchemist is great as well. However, be sure to get both the original Full Metal Alchemist series and Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood. The original doesnt follow the manga very closely while brotherhood does. Both are epic however.

Black Lagoon is sort of similar to Jormungand. Violence, splosions, boobs, guns, russians.

Inuyasha is long. I think 200 episodes? Seen it all, pretty boring. Hell, the last season was done years after it initially finished and rushed. I recall someone saying episodes 1-180 had the same amount of chapters and episodes 180-200.

Too true about Full Metal Alchemist, personally I am rarely a fan of series that stick close to manga simply because more often than not the anime isn't as good as the manga though this is one of the rare occasion that I actually liked it.

In all honesty I only remembered Black Lagoon because I saw Jormungand in your post. It is one of the few animes where I prefer subbed to dub because of the voice acting (and a lot of swearing! seriously wear headphones if your watching the english dubbed).

Inuyasha is a 7 series long anime, 193 episodes. I am not sure about all the episodes but from what I can remember most of the episodes is based heavily around the manga. I remember when I started reading the manga and the anime together it was pretty much word for word. I like to say that Inuyasha suffers from J.K. Rowling Syndrome. It had a great start in terms of characterisation and building a fantastic world....and then somewhere along the line it slipped and changed into something else.

Oh I actually forgot one.

Fate/zero - easily one of the best anime, my only problem with it is it is the prequel to fate/stay night. It is essentially about a battle royal between 7 masters who have each summoned a legendary hero such as king Arthur (you will be surprised how the king is portrayed) Merlin, Alexzander the great etc. to fight for them. The goal is to be the last one alive and be able to get a wish from the holy grail. However there each master has their own plan which ultimately ends in....well you'll find out for yourself.
