Good afternoon everyone!

Introductions were always a weird thing for me for some reason. I'm presently living in the south, 30 years old and a father to three. I had a good friend of mine get started with Internet Marketing/Affiliate Marketing a few years back and went on to make more money than anyone else we personally knew.

I talked to him at length about his journey and how he managed to accomplish what he did. He directed me to this site about 5 months ago, and I've done a lot of reading and learning over the last several months.

I want to thank the very generous people here who have shared their experiences, thoughts and ideas. This is a really wonderful community and I'm glad to be a part of it.

I look forward to a continued learning and grown here with all of you.

Cheers.

Hi @Aemm , Welcome to bhw. Yes there is a lot of stuff that u can learn here.

Good afternoon, @Aemm. I'm happy you found your way here. And I'd also like to know if you've got some interested ideas brewing. Getting started with something I hope?

To be perfectly honest, I'm still struggling with a little bit of information overload. I have a few ideas. But nothing brilliant that hasn't been done before.

I'm in a pretty unique situation as a stay at home dad. My girlfriend works really hard, and I'm on disability from the VA but it's practically nothing. The situation were in doesn't really allow for daycare, some one of us has to stay home. And she had the better paying job. Before I seriously invest in a project I really want to have a firm and solid understanding of exactly what I'm doing because I don't have extra money to throw away.

I know some of this is trial and error and I'm absolutely willing to accept that risk, but I feel like I need to hammer out some other details before I proceed.

It's great that you've already got something in your mind. Get your ideas in front of your eyes (write them down in a notebook or however else you prefer) and proceed from there.
Start with the one you're the most interested in..look up pros, cons, minimum investment, work required.. basically everything.
There's really no easy way around this, especially if you're new to the whole Internet marketing thing.
Keeping track of what you've read/ studied is a must. Or else you'll end up jumping from one method to another without ever starting anything.

I appreciate the advice! Apologies for the late reply, I have already started keeping track of the things I've been reading, and videos I've watched. When my aforementioned friend was giving me a general overview of the IM/AM business he made it sound a lot more simple than it actually is. There is a lot more involved than "getting some email, and sending them products" which, for him, I guess works. He's been doing it a long while, and is very successful in it. But I am definitely leaning more towards some Social Media Marketing. I already had a few accounts, nothing huge. Under 10k, but it was just something I played around with. I learned about Jarvee from BWH but I was previously using InstaPy which is very similar to Jarvee, except you have to code your own scripts for what you want. Jarvee is a much more beautiful, and refined program that I am very much enjoying. But hopefully there will be some good things in the works soon, and I will be able to report back with some updates soon!

Yeah, unfortunately most people leave out the amount of dirty, plain and boring work that's behind their success and make it look easy for clueless people.

This is very nice thread. It is nice to see that somebody managed to make success based on advices shared on this forum. It means that this is great forum in many ways, and I really hope that it will last for a very long period of time and help many other people
