I was going to hold off on sharing this little golden nugget because it's still something that I'm testing, but maybe (hopefully) someone can add some more insights.

And I figured, f***k it - it's Friday.

HOW TO GET A [baby] GOOGLE KNOWLEDGE GRAPH

As I mentioned, this isn't a tried and tested method with 100+ samples. BUT, I'm at a success rate of 100% with 4-5 unique knowledge graphs. This includes item name (John Doe), a descriptor (ex: Consultant), and an image.

In my experience, this works better for the person @Type as opposed to local businesses. With the 1 business that I did try (at minimal effort) it DID work. I would place a confident bet that this works extremely well for larger organizations with more media coverage and a longer history of digital presence (higher domain authority - you know, the full works).

Step 0. Syndicate semantic triple statements (i.e. "John Doe is an American Businessman")
Step 1. Create a new item on Wiki Data (i.e. "John Doe" or "Mama Mia's Pizzeria")

Step 2. Add statements (May be something like "American Businessman" or "Organization")
Step 3. Add references (i.e. "Stated in" or "Add credible reference URLs")
Step 4. Wait for indexing (In my experience, this takes 2-3 days)
Step 5. Rinse and repeat repeat steps 2-3

Please, be mindful of Wiki Data's guidelines prior to implementing this technique, and don't spam Wiki Data with items for 100s of small businesses - I'd like to keep this method alive.

Also, don't overthink statements. I've used self-referencing statements (i.e. my own "About" pages, social media, and other controlled assets to effectively obtain a Knowledge Graph. Of course, bonus points if these are from secondary sources like local magazines or Crunchbase (*hint* *hint*).

For example, let's look at the following copy:

For natural processing language machines (and most humans), it's hard to identify the subject-object relationship here.

Keep it simple --> Mama Mia's Pizzeria is a "GMB Category." Or.... John Doe is an "Knowledge Panel Descriptor."

Make it easy for natural processing language (NPL) to understand the relationships between the items being described.
