Going to Hawaii...need advice.

Hi guys,
Will be going this coming October with my girlfriend. Taking her for her birthday so I wanted to ask you guys the best place to stay in Hawaii? We want to stay by beach side but also want the place to be affordable.

Any Hawaiians in the house, would appreciate your help. Thanks a lot!!

Go to the big island or Maui. Dont be like everyone else and go to Oahu (Honolulu). Not to bash on Oahu, thats where im from, but its rather more like a city and not so much an island. The big island and Maui are not as industrialized.

Specific hotels are all up to you.. If it were me I would try find a beach-house. Being in Hawaii is not about 5 star hotels looking at the beach through the window.

Id rather sleep on the beach, grab a board and surf all day

I have been there 3 times on holiday. Main island is shitty IMO. Honolulu is dumpy. Maui or Kauai is where its at. If with girlfriend I would recommend Maui.
