Going homeless, need advice

Let me backtrack a bit: 6 months ago, I was evicted from an apartment, and a family that I knew was kind enough to take me in for the past few months. Sadly, it looks like my time here is up, and I'm looking for more options. I recently lost my car, so I've got no real form of transportation at the moment.

I am a pet owner, and I'm sadly going to have to surrender my pets, but if it means they get to live better lives, then who am I to say no? It's not fair to them that they have to get dragged from place to place because I keep making mistakes in my life.

I'm looking primarily for placement in a homeless shelter so I can possibly start my life over, but it looks like most in my area are only for women and children. (I'm a 22 year old male)

Do you guys have any advice for me?

I recommend you to not being lazy and start doing instead of thinking.
Get up and start fighting in this jungle called life.

Well, if I have to do this explaining with steps:
1.- Create Fiverr, Odesk, Elance accounts.
2.- Think what you can offer there after you research what people needs on jobs posting.
3.- What would you love to do for your clients?
4.- Study on Elearning sites to extend your skills. Teamtreehouse, tutsplus, etc.
5.- Use google on your daily life, if you stop asking questions to google you are going backwards, ask questions daily.

I'm currently in north Jersey, close enough to a train to get to Manhattan if needed (closest major city to me)

Have you tried looking for jobs at McDonalds, Walmart, restaurants, clubs, malls, etc? Grocery stores and fast food places are usually always hiring.

Post on Craigslist to do some snow shoveling (if you're up north), rake leaves, babysit, landscaping. There's so many job opportunities the list is endless. If you're willing to do some hard work and advertising, you won't go homeless.
 
OP I understand where your coming from, life can be hard at times. You have to take charge of your life, and as hard as it may seem, also take responsibility as an adult for the choices you have made to get you where your at in life at this moment. At the age your at right now, is the time in life, that you need to find your place for the rest of your life. You need to make the decision whether you're going to live a life of pity, or greatness, in your own mind. Making the right choices in life doesn't always come easy for all of us, and it's not meant to. Right now OP make the choice, it's all up to you.

OP, wtf have you been doing for the past couple months living with this family? Not working it seems.

What are you doing on BHW? Get doing something useful with your time.
 
OP, tell us more about yourself. It seems like there is a problem with this situation that you haven't talked about yet. What were you doing while you were at that family's house? Were you looking for a job? What were you doing with your time?

cmarv, earning money online might take some time, if I were you I'd get an offline job, even if it's part time. And while working that (And saving up money if possible...), learn about IM.... because your priority right now is to get your life back to normal asap... and that means getting a real job, at least in my opinion.

OP you have everything here in this thread you need. Get a job offline and get stabilized.
 
Not sure of the age requirement but join job core. You get room and board, including meals while learning a trade. And place a free ad for your pets instead of the animal shelter because they may get put down. God Bless
 
So, let me explain what I have been doing for a living in the past 14 month:

I've been a content creator on YouTube. Collectively, I was earning close to $2,200 - $3,100 a month for a while between that and a few other small things. It got to the point where travel was very necessary for what I was doing, so I started attending events like E3 and Vid-Con. That is where I messed up, because I began spending close to every penny I was earning, instead of saving.

And as most content creators, I overestimated the success of my channel, and believed it would permanently be stable. I plan on bringing it back up again, but right now, I'm not really in a position to do that.

When I was evicted, I was simply rescuing too many animals. I had more pets than my building allowed, so I fortunately found somewhere else to stay. Now, the family I am with, they have been very supportive of what I've been doing, but they just don't have the space for me anymore, which I understand completely.

In the time I was here, I should have been focusing more on saving. I fully acknowledge that I was the one that screwed up.
 
Sorry to hear about your situation man. There are ways to crawl out quickly though. One idea:

You can start writing basic SEO articles TODAY and make money. Really working hard every day you can be paid next week and then make a full time good income within a month or two. This is totally realistic.

If you haven't ever written articles before, don't get intimidated. The most basic are really just templates and you'll easily be able to crank out 1000+ words per hour.

It takes a bit of work, but if you apply yourself and use your brain (you're obviously smart, just need to figure out other parts of your life and your work ethic) you'll do fine and will make money at this. I've fkd up before with my work ethic and tried to cut corners, and once I started applying myself and not messing around, the money came in.

Seriously PM me if you want any tips or to know where to start.
 
Also, you're gonna have to get rid of your pets for a while. It will be tough but you have to take care of YOU and figure out your life before you try to save all these animals and stuff.

Maybe you can make a goal that within 20 months you'd like to be able to rescue a bunch of new animals and have the crazy pet life you want.

But right now you really have to give up on spending money on anything besides food, water, a place to stay. Just like a human relationship, we can't help others or be there for our girl or whatever.... until we have our own self figured out.
 
Hey man, you should get work at Mickey D's, earn about $500, and invest about $200 to buy a few Micro Niche sites from some offers HERE.Keep working at Mickey D's and buy SEO packages from HERE if you don't have SEO knowledge like me, and soon your sites should be ranking, scale it up and you will be at a nice amount of earnings per month.
