Going crazy

I am constantly monitoring a keyword, every day I watch rank changes. How can I find in first positions sites without any backlinks. Makes no sense to me. My site is in 7th page and in first position I find sites with no backlinks ?

Any suggestion ?

It doesn`tmean that these sites don`t have backlinks. People who know seo can easily hide the links for competitors.

Seen that it's so easy why don't you give me a clue so that I can work on it and maybe understand a bit more

Domain, age, relevancy, authority do count as well, without forgetting that they may have hidden links.

the keyword is not an important one. I have been working on that keyword beacuse it should be easy to rank for it.
I don't think they have hideden the links. I mean the keyword is not important and no one will probably have made any serious seo on it.
I could be wrong but I don't think they have blocked the bots.

I was trying to point out something different. Are we sure that the backlinks are still so important ?
