goddamn I love wordpress!

+1 for Wordpress again!!

You can really get as creative as you want with WP. Couple it with WPMU/BP and you've got a full-blown social networking platform. The learning curve on WP is very small, theming is pretty easy.

There is a plugin for almost any functionality you need, just dive in to their plugin repository and search. Plus not to mention the community - they are everywhere from forums to Twitter to IRC to Facebook and they are very very helpful.

Once you start working with it, there's never looking back.

I'm still a WP newb and will be "testing" it out on a site or two in the coming months. Currently I run 2 custom CMS systems and Xsite pro. I use each for various types of sites depending on my needs.
 
Did I told you that I HATE wordpress so bad?

I recently just got into wordpress as well. So intrigued at how easy it is to use and with all the plugins out there.
 
drupal is outstanding community forum cms. drupal 7 is being made idiot proof like wordpress so some of you might want to try it when it comes out. i use wordpress to make single contributer site (just me) and drupal to make all kinds of community sites. drupal has thousands of modules, btw.

so let me get this straight. your coding sucks so you blame wordpress.. :18: Generally PHP does not like when you leave off important pieces of code like semicolons and curly braces. why dont you just stick to HTML where you can omit trailing brackets and tags and get away with it.
 
I think I will be making a move over to WP because of all the plugins and the big G seems to like it better.
 
Ok, quick question from a WP newb...How much more difficult is it to sell (more specifically, transfer site files) to a new owner? I have heard bad things about the whole "database" thing, but maybe I'm way off.
 
If you use Thesis theme and WP Hide post plugins you can make instant 301 redirect. Its good for cloaking your affiliate links in your site. :)

Those are applicable to any CMS. :D

Unless you are some ultra noob, it ain't no rocket science to backup and restore your database. :)
 
Wordpress rules, been making blogs and landing pages on it for a while now.
If you know php well enough wordpress can basically do anything you want.
 
im not familiar with drupal or anything else but wordpress, but word press is the best from what iv seen because they have a huge community of people contantly reporting any issue, usually their own problem, its a strong piece of web software and at wordpress.org there is a SHIT LOAD of people who will support you, i get responses to my issues in less than 12 hours MAX, usually within a few. and as long as i worded my problem correctly, its always a one response fix.. anyone who says wp sucks doesnt really know what their talking about.. iv noticed people who install it themselves have more problems.. maybe thats why, i installed through softaculous through my web host, and i never had an error one time.. and im so fucking disorganized i dont see how i have not personally caused errors..
