You could. But after trying a couple of cms, I ended up using wordpress again.

Wordpress SUCK. lol.
No but seriously i hate it.
It's an over-hyped, slow, bulky peace of crap.
And no matter how much you tinker with it, it will never be what you want.
It's always a compromise.
And thats just when it works.
When it doesn't, you get the white screen of death.lol

alternative is blogger. good old hardcoding css and html to make an XML site.

I beg to differ on your statement that WP is slow. It depends on how much you know about your own hosting envir really. For eg, in an Apache envir. which is 99.9% of hosting accounts, it can be a dog. But if you know anything about hosting a busy site, including BHW, which should be running on no less than a lighttpd box, its amazingly fast. Fuck Apache. Its doesn't compare to light! And when you have your own box running nothing but WP sites its lightening fast. Even faster than a regular hosted web page on Apache. Sites such as wikipedia.org all run on a light box.

I think word press is cool, its really easy and well used so many plug ins and themes that can make site design as hard as just a visit to the download section.

man I have used joomla for a long time, and now one of my main sites I have taken over is drupal and I am hating it.
All my other sites are wordpress now, expect for that one which I do not own.
Wordpress is SOOO EASY. It's seo friendly, and just all around easy.
I will never BY CHOICE build another site with anything other than wordpress.
