If you get the domain for 1 year it's 5 and for 2 years it's .99 same thing happened to me. It's a two year deal for the .coms

Personally I do not recommend godaddy , they do have some "nice" offers to get you in but honestly it's one of the worst companies out there , the renewal fees are not crazy, their support is horrible , go for namesilo or namecheap instead

Yeah, the 0.99 is not always apply to all customers, for example, not for China, and don't forget enter PRO code and uncheck all unwanted service like SSL or couple years before checkout.

BTW, Godaddy renewal fees SUCKS!

try 1and1 they have a 0.99$ domain sale for coms and org i think but the renewal price is a little high

The GoDaddy offer is:

Buy for 2 years pay 0.99c for 1st and 14 (or 16$) for second year , total 14.99.

If you do your maths, the money you safe is 0.00 with other popular domain providers
