Thinking of starting a micro nice site.Which hosting do you suggest godaddy or hostgator?
To tell the truth I think godaddy sucks. To many problems that I am having during this week.

Go for Hostgator. I depends upon which server they put your website on.
BTW i received this report from pingdom today for a website that is hosted on hostgator

All my wh sites are hosted through hostgator, Very good tech support.

Another here for Hostgator, can't fault it. Good support.

I would definitely use HG. Godaddy has to many limitation on what you can and can't do. Plus if they don't like what you are doing they will take your site.

Between those 2, I would say Hostgator for sure. GoDaddy has sucked and always will. And plus, although GoDaddy says they are against SOPA / ACTA stuff, i'm sure they are for it. They just say that to keep customers.

GoDaddy is horrible and I cringe when a client shows up with a site hosted there. The first order of business is to move the sucker just about anywhere else.

Hostgator has been fine in the past. I also like Hostmonster, Pair, and even Pair Lite if the clients needs are minimal and they want to maintain their own account.

Not godaddy! I had such a terrible time with them! They may claim that their fourth generation is so much better, but it's NOT!

I use both. But hostgator blows away this dumb bitches at Godaddy. Godaddy sux. I have 36 sites on their server now I need mySQL DB 5.0 but only way is to upgrade all my websites (surely to cause issues ). I moved to hostgator and hope to slowly migrate.

Godaddy is the WORST. The whole control panel interface is very slow. Actions like creating databases, ftp accounts, subdomains etc. take 20-60 minutes to complete. It took them 2 days to activate an FTP account i created. Their cron jobs can only be set with one hour accuracy (for me they didn't work at all, so i had to resort to calling my scripts from another host)

I made the mistake of putting a site on Godaddy hosting and immediately regretted it. Go with ANYONE else.

Godaddy is only worth for their domain name market place and ocassional coupons. Their hosting is perhaps the worst.

I have both and gotta say Im extremely happy with hostgator. Their support is fantastic.

I have both of them.
I must say Godaddy is a s h i t, don't use Godaddy. I hate Godaddy.
Use hostgator!!
