My fellow BHW,

I was thinking many people here use godaddy domain more than a year.. or more.. For example.. Let say you purchase godaddy domain with coupon and you paid 2$ for the domain for a year... After that year.. How much Godaddy is going to charge you.. I was just wondering how much Godaddy is going to charge me after my domain expire....

Godaddy Users.. please help..

They charge the regular price. Also you can use the general discount codes on your renewals.

If you look for coupon codes they are marked as at first sales or renewals.

I have been using GoDaddy for more than 5 years and always use coupon codes without any trouble.

Thanks.. i have a domain now paying 1.18usd which is going to expire in 2012 but i didn't host the domain with them. I was thinking if this domain expired and i want to renew.. are they going to charge me like 70 or more or they are going to charge me like 12usd..That's what i was thinking off.. because i was plaining to purchase like 5 domain with them and i was afriad if i have to pay 70usd for renewer lol

Each domain is renewed at full price. So if you had 5 domains, you'd have to pay around $50 for a renewal.

However, since you have an entire year to make money with the domain, that shouldn't be a problem.

There are other registrars with cheaper prices but very few have the 99cent .com domains.

Thanks Jared225, I really appreciate your answer as Godaddy user.. So you mean i will not paid more than 10usd for renew each domain that am not hosting with them per year. so if i have 5domain i should be ready to renew it at 50usd right?

It depends what kind of domain you pruchased. What is the extension? Different extensions (.com, .us, .info, etc.) have varying prices. Just another note, I have used GoDaddy for over a year, but I am phasing out of GoDaddy... I can't stand their slow website, high prices, and endless upselling. I now use NameCheap and I am happy (so far) with them. NameCheap also offers free whois guard for the first year, and their overall prices are lower than GoDaddy.

Am using the .com extension.. i issue was i was plaining building some website for my classmate ... i get Goddady for 1.18usd for the .com extension.. I just want to know how much they charge for Renewal of .com domains every year...

The .99 cent domain for a .com domain is just for the first year..
the other years you may around 11-12 dollars us ....
unless you have a coupon... then you pay less on the renewal too..
