Hi,

I purchased a new domain from godaddy for promoting clickbank products. To use discount coupons I made a new account with all fake information (fake info to hide personal info from whois). I made payment with my real bank account. I started running my website with few products on it. It was going all good. But now they have suspended my website. I didn't receive any warning email or something. When I login to godaddy account they are asking me for my any government ID card. So, what should I do now ? Is it safe for me to provide them my Identity card with my photo on it?

Well if you used fake identity then its pretty sure that they can catch sometimes. Happended with one of my friend.
Also I dont think Fake and real identity details will match.

Cheers

This is the problem when you put fake details on the Who Is section. Godaddy will keep your domains until you provide proof of the ownership of the domains.

Only way to get back your domain is to provide identification of your fake details. Whenever providing fake details you should always at least have some identification documents of it. You can try photoshopping any id, if you get lucky you can get your domain back.

They are saying that they need a copy of my ID card with the same name I used for making payment by internet banking. And as I already mentioned I have used my real bank account. So, what if I give them my real ID ?

so you used your real name in bank account? That will count as payee name. They will want to verify the owner of the godaddy account. Still I think you should send a mail to their support team asking which name document they want.

that happened to me when i started our on IM many years ago. i used fake infos and got my domain suspended. i suggest you provide them with the info they need if you value your website.

Godaddy is a mess, theyll freeze your account, domains for the most silly reasons. Move away to namecheap asap, dont even bother with them.
