I've used both.
Namecheap gives you free privacy, but personally I've had a better encounter with GoDaddy support.

Go name cheap, Godaddy usually give the best starring offers but then sink their teeth in and give stupid renewal fees. Namecheap every time.

Namesilo also offers free privacy. But if all you are doing is redirecting to blogspot then go for the CHEAPEST option. You can always transfer for FREE most of the time if you change your mind.

P.S. - Godaddy sucks in every way. Customer support has lied to me many times.

I've seen a ton of complaints about GoDaddy, but I've always personally used them and never run into any issues at all. Plus, they tend to have better deals.

godaddy seens good with coupon u pay 4$ for a domain with privacy or for 1.49$ domain
never used both namecheap still worth against that?

I transfered all my domains away from GoDaddy, mostly to Namecheap. In my opinion, they're much better, GoDaddy is good for $1 coupons.

Go with Godaddy if you want to save more money. The only thing good about namecheap IMO is their free privacy.

Was looking for this info. . How easy it was to transfer from GD to NC?

I have 2 domains purchased from Godaddy, and want them to trasfer to NameCheap. Btw, had always purchased domains from NC (more than 5 years and 30-40 domains purchased on it), but had these 2 purchased for my friend in his name because of the big discount (Don't remember exactly, could be $1.99 for .coms) from godaddy some days back...
