GoDaddy is Busted

#1 you guys are nuts if you think godaddy's burning AGP quota on crap people search for
#2 nobody ever produces an actual domain as evidence of godaddy doing this, it's always xxxxxxx.com

As entertaining as the conspiracy theories are, I'm pretty sure Occam's indicates it's just nubs complaining that some other nub registered an obvious or public drop or emd on the nub registrar of choice, godaddy.

Yep, I learned about these bastards a while ago. You could f$%k with them by the way by registering eatshitassholes.net and see if they register it!

Not true, they did this to me for a fairly obscure URL several times that included a hyphen.

Am I like the only one here who uses 123Reg? Lol..Personally I hate GoDaaddy because their site is complete and utter rubbish + just confusing as hell when accepting and changing domains etc..at least with 123 it is simple and straight forward and usually cheaper than GD + 123's customer service is pretty good
 
Stay away from the scumbags of Godaddy. Last year I transfered all my domains to Namecheap. Better service and cheaper.
 
Well, so far they didn't block me from registering my beloved eatshitassholes2.net but Godaddy did send me this notice so they do track you:

EATSHITASSHOLES2.NET was still available as of 8/13/2012
 
Happened to me twice and i was really mad about it that the domain wasnt registered for years and exectly 2 days later when i checked for them they got registered by godaddy
 
When a Registrar monitors the whois lookups you do through their site and then grabs the Domain prior to you pulling the trigger there or elsewhere is called "front running". The best thing to do is don't do your lookups via GD, do them elsewhere. Then if you insist on using GD because of a coupon or whatever then actually reg the Domain there.
 
So if you searched for FUCKGODADDY or FUCKGOOGLE do you think they would hurry and snap up those names too?
 
I am glad I found this thread. I was thinking of getting a domain from godaddy because of the coupons being posted here but not anymore. As per your advice, I will be checking with NameCheap. Thanks IMers.
 
This is very low. Wow. I only found now that they did this kinda stuff. I just bought a domain from them five minutes ago then I bought another domain from Namecheap literally 1 minute ago.

NAMECHEAP FTW.
