Few days a go i bought an expiring domain at live auction, today i check the whois and seem it update but reg under another name and registrar.

How the fuck is this possible ?

Think its time to transfert all my 10+yo domains to another registrar...

Godaddy blows chunks. I've not had any problems like you jaymank, but I don't like how Godaddy charges so much for whois protection. Along with a lack of coupons, I am gradually transferring hundreds of domains to a different registrar.

Namecheap is a registrar for pros. Godaddy is a registrar for moms and dads that want to build their first webpage, and they get lured in by $1 coupons. One of the best ways of spotting a non-geek is by seeing that he/she uses Godaddy.

Perhaps the original owner recovered it from redemption? If it is an expired auction, I believe it is not a guarantee that you will get it. You can review their support article on expiring auctions, as this explains their expired auctions process. Also, you can contact their support, and in particular their auctions department.

I highly recommend namecheap, their site is so clean and easy to use. Oppose to godaddys site that looks like a 90's porn site with all the flashing banners...

I remember when I bought the domain with Payonner, they took the money,then after few minutes locked my account
Usually the sites will reject the card not stole the money

Used godaddy for emails only and that was bad enough.

i run all domains through NameCheap.

Recommended.
