If you buy an expired domain that has a great backlink profile and authority, and then forward that domain to a free web 2.0 or an existing website, is it considered a 301 redirect? Does it pass any link juice?

    Thanks :)

Yes I understand that 301 redirect passes link juice, but if I go to godaddy setting for the domain and forward it to another domain, will it pass the juice? As opposed to buying hosting and setting up a 301.

    Thanks :)

301 redirect is better for SEO purposes. So,i advice you to go with htaccess redirection than domain redirection (which is not permanent redirection) if you are looking for linkjuice.
