GoDaddy Down - Anonymous claims responsibility

Well said...

For everyone who has a site down, use this time to sign-up for a host that does not support SOPA.

Sure, you may save a few dollars today, but you will pay for it later...

PS - Just sent this to DrudgeReport .com... we'll see how long it takes to get posted and picked up by the media.

I didn't make the decision to host with GoDaddy, you made that choice. A whole bunch of registrars and hosts are better and cheaper and dont support terrible laws designed to shut down the rest of the worlds internet as we know it.

So yeah, for you as an individual and other site owners, I do feel bad for you, all I can say is PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE consider your wallet, and your conscience, and use this as an excuse to get a better deal from a superior company.

Not that I disagree, but SOPA is dead and has been dead for a while.

Can't say that I approve of this, I mean, GoDaddy sucks for sure and I would never host a site there (although I once had about 50 domains registered on godaddy) but I feel bad for all those affected.. on the other hand, maybe it will teach them a lesson. ;)

Down for me. Looks like its about time to move to another hosting company

Change your hosting, problem solved. Don't put all the eggs in one basket. Did you ever wondered why they wanted to offer you whole solution? Go with anonymous friendly hosting, problem solved :)

Update...Godaddy website is back up, although my sites are still currently down

I just created a coupon for hostgator... GoDaddyOutage and have plastered it all over the godaddy FB page. LOL.

Woah GoDaddy is under some serious heat today, with this and the namecheap coupons and someone even wanted to shitlist them on bhw on another thread :D
They do deserve it though, shitty company.

BTW, lots of Godaddy customers on the FB pages are complaining about having to pay for adwords clicks with no website up to land on.

Best comment on the techcrunch site

"Knock knock.
-Who's there?
Any website hosted on Godaddy.
-Any website hosted on Godaddy, who?
<DNS lookup failed.>."
