GoDaddy Backorder domains, Worthy?

Is 'backorder domain' GoDaddy option really worhty?

There's a domain I've been willing to get for years. It's an old domain and it has since been parked, It expires August this year, but the owner has renewed every year during the past 10 years, and the domain kept parked.

Is worthy to click 'backorder domain' on GoDaddy?

You can backorder it from many services but be prepared to go to auction with the site.

So it isn't worthy at all?
I mean, The keyword I want is extremely powerful and it's .net
So If it goes on auction, it'll be sold for thousands of dollars....
Although It's a site that has been parked forever...

No godaddy NEVER wins the auction ( ok, not never, but if snapnames also has a backorder on it, they win MOST of the time ).

Check out snapnames and also pool.com ... snapnames is better and cheaper and i personally won domains with snapnames

I just mean that it isn't that simple that you just backorder a domain and you get it no matter what (if the guy doesn't renew). There are sites that give you lists of domains that are expiring in the next X amount of days and people are watching these things like a hawk! So yes, if it is a popular keyword then chances are it will go for thousands of dollars.

Ok. So snapnames win... But minimum bid on Snapsnames start at $59, so not cheaper than GoDaddy....

And snapnames doesn't accept PayPal...

Godaddy will not win your domain if its any decent. If the domain name is decent or premium, either a shady company will get it for itself, or somebody in the industry will be using snapnames or pool. Godaddy backordering will only win if your the only one backordering that domain on the internet.

So I basically have 0.000000000001% of chances to win this domain. It's a very very premium domain for an extremely heavy searched keyword, and the keyword is on the domain, and it's .net, the .org and .com are impossible to get because they're active websites.

But this keyword has a .me domain, which isn't working, but I get this message when searching for WHOIS > 'The domain domain.me is a Governmental Reserved Name and is available for registration only by eligible applicants' - How Can I get this one???
