In a regular auction how much time do I have to wait until I can use the domain?
I know for a fact that expired domain auctions take a long time until the domain is cleared, but I don't know if it is the same for regular domain auctions, can someone clarify?

Usually up to 5 days.

depend on auction duration for for firesale minimum 5 days

So I've been checking this auction which is a domain that has an expiration date for 2013, but in my cart it says: Go Daddy Auctions Expired Domain Purchase

And they say that I have to renew for 1 more year. Is this right? How can it be an expired domain if its expiring in 2013, and I selected age > 2 on the search settings?

If domain expiration date is 2013 and that will remain same after buying domain. You can extra year with that. (godaddy automatically add domain renewal price with that)

In most of the auction only stolen domains exist.I hate godaddy.com because of their domain auctions.I lost some of good keyword selected domains due to their cheap tricks.

They hold expired domains on life support and sell it on auctions. They do their own appraisals. I kind of don't like it that a big firm jumps in and takes the market for itself.
