Godaddy and private registration

I have 3 .com coming up for renewals at go daddy, I thought the $7.50 price isn't too bad, so I was going to renew. But I want to keep private registration.

Wasn't there a trick to add enough new .com or .info to get bulk pricing and private reg on the renewals would also become free? I can't find that anymore. I added 5 .info at $0.89 and got private reg on those 5 for free only.

Please help! otherwise I have to manually trsf them over to namecheap
