Godaddy account locked

So, i woke up this morning and logged into godaddy and it said that my account was locked and needed fraud protection so i needed to give them a pic of my drivers liscence. One problem....
im 15.

am i screwd?

hmmmmm will they refund the money into my paypal when the fraud protection fails?
 
Yesterday i also got the same email. Within 48hrs i have to upload driving license or else they will close my account.
 
yup thats what it says and i didnt do it
thankfully i just started this website yestrday
o well but dam i hope this dont happen again
 
I've heard a lot of bad things about GoDaddy. Maybe you should switch to another company like Namecheap. I've been with them since my first ever website and I've never had any problems.

I have around 32 domains with namecheap all .com's. But i needed around 20 .info domains and namecheap doesn't offer then cheap. I got it from godaddy at $1. Sure the domains are cheap but there are hassles like this.

BTW i have uploaded my driving license and now they require scanned copy of Credit card.
 
I am also 15 and this happened. with hostgator. They asked for a passport and they actually accepted it (even though I am sure in their T & C's its says you must be over 18 :p

Any idea what prompted godaddy to do this?

Refuse to send them your DL because you are worried about ID theft and demand your money back

After you get your money back sign up with a good host, GD hosting sucks.

The OP just mentioned his 'website' so I assumed he just got hosting from them.

If he's getting grief about his domain then do the same thing, he should tell them he won't send his DL cause email is insecure.

If they argue demand their PGP key, that will shut them up.
 
Yea i just spent $14 on hosting from them along with a $2 domain. Im going to demand my moeny back and say that its to insecure to send my drivers license
 
there are alot of people who are great at photoshop, you could put up a featured gig at elance and get a professional to do it within a day.
 
naaa haha i demanded my money back and just got the reversal into my paypal account :) for both the domain and hosting
