Just thought I'd share my findings with you guys.

Use coupon code 299BUYCOM for $2.99 1-Year .COM, .US, .MOBI, .BIZ, .NET, .ORG, .CA, .CO.UK and .IN domain registrations at GoDaddy. A $0.20 ICANN registration fee applies. Valid for one domain per account. New domains only; not valid on renewals.

is it just me or when i apply the code you can't pay with paypal anymore

Thanks, this is perfect. I was just about to buy a few .coms.

Very good timing. I normally transfer these after the year to 1and1.

"This offer may not be used for renewals, bulk registrations, premium domains or Sunrise/Landrush domain registrations. Limited to one order per customer, expiring after 7,500 redemptions or on September 22, 2009 (whichever comes first)"

I just bought one nice domain for only 3.19.

thanks for the promo code

I've noticed some things do cause Paypal option to disappear.

I recommend 1and1 anyway, I like godaddys setup and have a lot of domains through them, but private reg is free on 1and1.com and .com's are $8.99

I emailed their support to see if private registration costs after the first year and I was told currently all private registrations are "free for eternity" at this point.

Nah.. actually, big time offers like this with godaddy you can only pay with cc, i believe this is godaddy's way to prevent fraud.

imho 1and1 sucks, not good for blackhat purposes, requires you uploading identification shits, what if the domain is so hot and u want to use 1and1 n never used it before n u had to go thru all the process, then when you are approved the domain is gone, thats gotta suck big time.

godaddy is still cheapest if u require just domain, if u need private reg just go w namecheap for 8.81, 19 cents cheaper than 1and1 i noe, but u get free ssl, can't beat that. but i really hate their support, so slow for such a reputable company.

just my 2cents.

ohh darn... if i sent someone 3.19 through paypal would you be willing to get me a domain using a cc? x.x;

How would that work? They would have to register it in their name as well since personal info is required - unless I'm mistaken.

nice info :)
too bad they don't accept paypal for this coupon :(
I hope my cc will come on time before this coupon disappears lol

For this to work the person willing to help would need to go thru the hassle of creating a new gddy acct, unless they dont want to take this offer for themselves, they can just use their own acct (since 1 acct/1use). Only then they can make the push to you.

Maybe you should up your offer someone would come up?

I'd help you, and I'd ask you not to pay but buy me a coffee instead. But, my vccs are out of funds at the mo and I can't use my main cc since i will be taking this offer aswell before it expires.

I just bought a domain, thanks. It only took credit cards or checks from what i saw. Thanks again.
