this is why so many people dont bother to share coz it can be more hassle that its worth.
Sure someone will find this a good deal.
do they provide free whois within $1.18..if yes then its v good. Else its real crap(atleast for me).

Well gee thanks for the $1 coupon. But if you google godaddy coupons and go to retailmenot.com you can find a $7.49 deal for godaddy for either renewals or new domains (which is like $4 off).
In fact, you may not realize this, but you can apply coupons to your monthly VPS with godaddy too ... they've had coupons there for 30% off before (might even still have it now), but you can always get 20% off ... my VPS I've had for the last 5 years (without one problem whatsoever) is only like $27 per month now ... before I figured the coupons out I always paid like $40 a month.
While we're talking godaddy, one time I had a $7.99 unlimited shared hosting with them ... back then I wrote a search engine for an online game (Ultima Online) ... I bombarded that sucker nonstop 24 hours a day with continual data updates, replenishing a 500 meg database of in-game data, over a million records refreshed daily, a few bytes at a time several times a second -- never experienced one hickup in a year of use. But I was told to move it to a dedicated server ... had nothing but problems with mysql's cache and continually pegging the CPU and causing memory leaks, it was a nightmare. Turned out it was better just to switch it back to godaddy's shared server.
Yeah lots of people hate godaddy -- I haven't happened to have been screwed by them yet after 6 years of working with them but I guess someday it might happen and I'd be pissed at them too.

I guess they're good for experimental sites that you aren't 100% sure are going to succeed.
