I've been doing this for a while. Sign up to the local public library - most have an e-library that you can access for free. There are tons of online resources including databases and journals. If you're doing anything medical-related or legal, I highly recommend you check it out. Some papers have limited online availability which means you can run them once through TBS and you're good to go.
Most are full text in either HTML or PDF and you can copy paste easily. Don't even have to automate scraping.
You can do all the work from home, but another good thing about this: Librarians are HOT
