Hi

Anybody here know how to approve gmc? New GMC banned for misrepresentation. I had an old gmc for the same website which was approved, but I had to change the domain as the ad account was banned, and to cut a long story short there was no hope of getting the ad account back as the gmc was under an mca and that email address had some previous suspensions. I made a new gmc, new domain, new business info, aged ad account, used a vps, changed the website look etc. I hired a guy on fiverr who was able to approve my old gmc when it was suspended for the same reason but after 2 appeals he's run out of ideas. Everything is different, I even changed the details of my Shopify store and submitted only 20% of my products which are new (hadn't been submitted to old gmc). I run a legit white hat business in the UK and i am an authorised retailer for many top brands, many of them well known within their respective niches.

I'd appreciate it if anyone can help/recommend someone who can.

P.S. every gmc suspension ive had occurs on the third day of running ads (during the night heading into the 4th while im asleep) so a tip to anyone would be to unlink your ad account on the third day so both your accounts dont get suspended at least because ads accounts take much longer to recover.

Thanks

Rudi

Hi Rudi,

Thanks for sharing — I’ve actually noticed the same thing: getting GMC approved in the UK seems noticeably harder than in most European countries. Even with a clean setup and proper white hat approach, UK accounts are under much stricter review lately.

You're not alone — I’ve seen others running into “Misrepresentation” bans despite legit stores and proper documentation.

I’m currently building a new GMC setup myself (targeting UK with a .co.uk domain + dropshipping model), and I’m being extremely cautious. A few extra points that might help others or spark discussion:

Things I’ve learned / am testing:

  • ✅ .co.uk domain + UK-based virtual office address in the footer (with matching Nominet-verified WHOIS data)
  • ✅ Clear and transparent return/refund policy in GBP
  • ✅ Unique product descriptions (no copy/paste from supplier)
  • ✅ Consistent address/email/phone across site, GMC, and Business Profile

❓Open questions for others:

  • Has anyone had better success with a .co.uk domain + verified UK virtual address?
  • Do you think using a UK Ltd company helps with trust score?
  • Anyone have verified agencies or consultants (outside Fiverr) that still deliver?
It's honestly frustrating how opaque the GMC review system is, especially when you’re running a legitimate business.

Would love to hear from anyone who cracked the formula or is in the same boat. Maybe we can piece together a checklist that’s actually working in the UK.

Thanks again for sharing this,

Romana

Misrep hits when Google sees trust gaps. Even with fresh setup, if business info, site, or branding don’t align tight, you’re flagged. Fix your policies, make everything look real, unlink ads early, and warm it slow.

Old tricks don’t work anymore. If you want a shot, you age a clean account, use a new domain, whitelist your IPs, and submit only a few products at first—slow and quiet wins.
