GMC Google Merchant Misrepresentation

For a Google Ads shopping campaign, one links a Google Merchant Center account. Google Ads accounts linked with Google Merchant Center has since the last around 1 year, been highly used (or rather misused) by scammers who setup fake shopping websites to loot people. And hence almost all newly created Google Ads accounts linked with Google Merchant Center accounts are getting suspended (both the Google Ads accounts & Google Merchant Center accounts get suspended) and it will mention as suspended due to misrepresentation although there may not be any misrepresentation. Due to the scammers having highly used (or rather misused) Google Merchant Center for their fake shopping websites, Google Ads has been unable to stop such scams from happening and hence is mass suspending Google Merchant Center accounts (& the linked Google Ads accounts) nowadays, no matter even if such Google Merchant Center accounts & their linked Google Ads accounts are intended for legit purposes.
On the other hand search campaigns are nowadays having good success rates as compared to shopping campaigns.

Make sure you have a aged google ads account call them up and ask what's wrong also what helped one of my friends get over that ban was getting a GTIN Number for his products goodluck

Absolutely true from my experience, we're having the same issues for months now (selling mostly electronic devices in Europe, legit stores, no dropshipping). as far as I know, those 'scammers having used (or rather misused) Google Merchant Center for their fake shopping websites' are still running scam ads on shopping campaigns, I don't know exactly how they did it, but I know someone is still doing this. Google shopping campaign is hard to run this year, but it seems only legit business hurts...

You should check policies of google, might violating one. Or maybe changes in the policy of google, Mail them an ask for the help.

Same has happened to me, I was creating my second store and got banned, both GMC and Google Ads, same thing happened to my first store which I managed to recover like a week later making some changes but I have made more changes to this second store and they do not want to lift the ban, seems like its rutinario.

Yes, I had this misrepresentation issue for months with my supplement products on GMC. In my case, the issue arose when I was trying to sell it to different parts of the world other than the country that I live in. Its actually a dropshipping business and it took two months at least to get it fixed finally.

I had the same issue and I will say the Mt solution was reactivated accounts. Get reactivated google merchant accounts and run the ads with them.

Google quality stands have improved and it's become very tough for ordinary users to get the Google merchant center approved. I can agree on this. However being a Google Partner, we have observed and created a checklist for our clients so they do not get affected with new updates on GMC.
