GMB video verification

I haven't been following the GMB scene for over a year. Yesterday I tried to verify a GMB and it's asking for video verification. It says I have to use a phone to take video of the signage and surrounding businesses. Is video verification required for all businesses, or it's random? If it's required for all, then I am screwed.

Can't tell for sure but what I've been experiencing is either video or submit legal documents showing the adress such as utility bills, leasing contracts and so on.

How many GMBs have you tried to verify?
Out of those, none of them were verified after entering the code?
How is your ip address? residential? vpn?

Yes they have started video verification for most of the categories.

around 10 in the last year, all residential or 4G. Few cases code didn´t even arrived and most went directly into the submiting documents or video verification.

It is getting very tough to create a new GMB listing. I have created 1 listing also I have provided them with all the necessary documents but still business shows in processing for 2 months I think GMB is going to be the worst for new business. After video verification, they will update your business status into processing which will never get verified.

Some low spam categories are still verified using domain email method.

Could you explain how the video verification went? What exactly did they want to see?
