GMB review cull!

I lost about 10 reviews last week. Which is fair enough but another local business that i always thought had way too many reviews for their industry lost over 100. I know as I remember seeing the amount they had and was like that's not normal... they have loads more questionable reviews left up but it was interesting to see another business take a hit the same time as mine. Did anyone else notice a cull of reviews in thr last week or so? I think it made my ranking drop too so just be careful about how you get yor reviews.

Review culling does seem to be a regular thing now with GMB. Over the past week I've seen lots of posts on X and similar of supposedly legit reviews being wiped out. Maybe this is a more aggressive filter that Google has dialled-up. Or maybe they're just keeping businesses on their toes.
