GMB Phone Numbers

I'm doing SEO for a real estate client and there's a new project that recently launched, Google was smart enough to make a GMB for this listing.

Does anyone know how Google fills in the info?
How does Google fill in which website and phone number? I'm asking because the phone number is listed to a competitor real estate agent. I wanted to know if it's possible to change it or have my clients phone number listed for future projects.

There are a few things you need to go.
First thing you need to do is make sure your client owns the GMB listing. To do that click on “own this business?” Then verify via mail (make sure it sends to their office not competitors). You can’t verify by phone because it will call the competitors number.

Once they have the verification code, input it into your GMB page and you will be able to edit.

there are a few more reasons why the info is incorrect such as

- the website itself doesn’t have a phone number so googles algorithm can’t verify if it’s incorrect or not.

- website should have a schema - this should help as well as seo
