I own a body shop in a suburb. Just read about GMBs and started getting reviews. The highest reviewed body shop in my city has 95 and I'm second at 50 reviews. Besides the reviews what's a good strategy to pop up first? Should I create more GMBs and flood the first page? What would the experts do?

Focus on reviews as mentioned above.

Also pay attention to keep your GMB fresh and up to date with all business info, promotions, products pictures and so on.

Don't focus only on reviews as reviews are only one part that helps in ranking. Q&A, photos and videos, regular posts also plays a major role in ranking a GMB. Moreover, Social media posts and having regular reviews on other platform also help GMB in ranking. For ranking a GMB proper optimization is necessary. As you have seen many times a GMB with less review rank higher than GMB with many reviews.
