Hey guys hope you'r doing well. I was just reading a thread about small business seo tactics and all replies contained GMB. What's the real importance of gmb in local seo strategy, how to optimise gmb profile to drive more conversions and the roles of reviews in this picture ?
Thank's in advance

Optimized GBP is the key for SMB 1) Fill every relevant information on GBP
2)primary category setup is important
3) website must have replicate the GBP
4)before after image published both on GBP
5) Some other methods

Keeping info updated, adding photos, and posting occasionally seems to help. Reviews also plays a big role, both for trust and local rankings. Even small improvements there can make a noticeable difference for local businesses.

GMB is the most important thing in local SEO. Without it getting the actual leads is quite difficult.

For the optimization, just fill out everything you can. Add a few pictures to your GMB photos. And reviews are most important here. If you don't get reviews, you won't ranked for your targeted searches.

Google Business Profile is important for local SEO because it helps businesses appear in maps and local searches. Keeping the profile complete, adding photos and getting real reviews can improve visibility and trust. Regular updates and replying to reviews also seem to help over time.

GMB plays a major role because it targets high-intent users who are ready to call, visit, or book.
Optimizing it means completing every section, adding services, posting updates, and keeping info consistent.
Reviews are critical, they build trust, improve rankings, and heavily influence whether users choose you or a competitor.

Hey,

Google Business Profile is basically the foundation of local SEO. It directly impacts:

Whether you show in the map pack

Your visibility for “near me” searches

First impressions (reviews, photos, info)

Why it matters:
For most local queries, users interact with GBP before even visiting your site so it drives both rankings and conversions.

How to optimize it:

Choose the right primary + secondary categories

Fully complete services, description, and info (keep NAP consistent)

Add real photos regularly + use posts/updates

Make sure your listing matches your actual location/service area

Role of reviews:
They’re huge for both trust and rankings:

Higher volume + steady flow = better visibility

Keywords naturally in reviews can help relevance

Replies show activity and improve conversions

In short: GBP isn’t optional it’s one of the strongest local signals, and often your main conversion asset.
