I have been to 4 coffee shops around the city and when I try to create a gmail account, it asks for phone veritifcation every single time. The problem is definitely not my computer because I create a new windows user every time so there are no cookie issues. Also the problem is not the username because every time I try a brand new username so my new try doesn't get linked to the previous try. new password, new date of birth, new everything.

is gmail asking for phone number no matter what? I just need one gmail account, I am not trying to create 100s. fuuuuuuuuuck.

    Tips
input your age as 15...(2001-2000) they won't ask since you're a kid
If your on your mobile go to setting>>add account>>choose google>>create new account once done.. go to google setting under security input a recovery address and you're good to go ( can make 3 accounts base on my experience then they will ask PV)

Man, use a VPN and use an IP from some different country (Spain and USA are the ones who don't ask for phone number) so when you log in through a Chrome new session, it will not ask for either phone or recovery email. Check it out!

The problem IS your computer. The coffee shops you're visiting are likely using IPv6 which doesn't have NAT but reports both external and internal addresses. Basically, your MAC address (the hardware number) is doing you in. You need to change the MAC address... That's staying the same regardless of what you do to the software. You could format and the MAC address is still the same.

If they're using IPv4 then you can try blocking all scripts. It's getting pretty common for companies to run a script which sends them your MAC address during signup.

As for changing the IP of the router at the coffee shop. Try 192.168.0.1, 1.1, 1.2. Find the router model and Google the default password. Most places don't change it, then you just go in and restart the router yourself. No need to unplug anything.

Are you sure website can find out your MAC address when you're using IPv4 ? I've talked to multiple knowledgeable people and they all said no website can find your MAC ID unless you install a special script/program/extension like Java or ActiveX or something...

Lol google is smarter than you think, using VPN or changing IP won't help, they use DPI(deep packet inspection) to generalize the traffic source, that is they will always know that you're using a VPN......

If you really want to ditch PV pm me and I will let you know.

Even if you manage to create 1 gmail without phone verification, as you using it, Google will send you verification and lock your mail down till you do it. Just the same result.
I have 2 option for you:
    1. Use another email that can log into google's service. You won't have gmail, but you can still log in Youtube channel, using G+, etc.
    2. Buy a trash SIM and use it to verify your gmail. (borrow someone's phone is much easier and cheaper, yet more trouble, not recommended)

If you have JavaScript enabled, they can find your MAC IP. Those scripts run without intervention and JavaScript is enabled by every major browser by default.

If the knowledgable people you know doubt this, have them research how the FBI busted people using TOR with JavaScript. Then try visiting a site like eBay without JavaScript enabled; you won't even be allowed to perform a search as a guest because eBay wants the ability to run these scripts to track your use.

Why FBI busted people using TOR? Is it illegal to use TOR?

TOR itself isn't illegal but it can be used for illegal things. They can bust you for illegal things you do on the internet and they can bust you for illegal things you do on TOR if they can find you. TOR usually hides this but JavaScript lets them run software to unmask you.

Lol what are you talking about? Javascript is required to browse sites but it absolutely doesn't leak MAC unless it's an old browser and you are enabling ActiveX or a plugin/extension/addon of some sort.

NO, google can never ever see your MAC id but if you install activeX ,then the situation is different...but google check your browser fingerprint very seriously to check your identity.

I never said it leaks, I specifically said a script is run. JavaScript can run extensions without your intervention, that is where the problem is. Also remember Java /= JavaScript. If you want to see the data sent use something like LittleSnitch.

I've provided you with multiple ways to verify this problem exists. FBI busting people, you can check it yourself with LittleSnitch. If you choose not to do the research or believe it, thats on you... but it doesn't mean it doesn't happen; it means your "experts" aren't really experts in the netsec field.

edit: If they're experts then they would know all this is possible. There's also a reason why eBay insists on using Adobe Flash for quick photo uploads. They can update their site but they won't because they can track you with cached Flash files too. If you choose not to believe it, that's on you, but I'm not going to sit here and educate someone not willing to learn.
