I'd been using the same proxy for some time for some gmail autoreplies and I went to make some new accounts today and on the first one gmail asked for a mobile number for account verification. I switched proxies and it was fine.
Anyone else had this happen?

same here, when i was making accounts like crazy, but as i stay online from an internet caffe, i moved to another pc so no problem. but it happened to me too :)

I had this happen too, but since I've started being pretty anal about not overusing ip's and clearing cookies, I've been fine (at least with account creation *grumble sending limits grumble*). Don't forget that gmail leaves flash cookies as well.

i am experiencing the same problem with gmail . At first i would be just wait for a day and using the same proxy again and it worked . But now it doesn't only option is to keep on switching proxies

yes, it happened to me, I had to change the IP/proxy and it will be ok. also make sure the name/details in the gmail account, when creating it, does not look spammy and don`t use the same details many times, it will ask you for the phone verification if u do that to many times.

Thats why I bougt DSL with dynamic ip so that I can change the IP at ease :)

It happened to me just today. I just closed the window and started again. did not change IPs or anything. It let me do it withjout phone verification the second time
