I’ve been working with Gmail for years, and recently I’ve noticed some accounts are getting flagged or asked for extra verification more often than before.

Is anyone else experiencing this? What do you think is the main reason?

Yes indeed, as far as verification goes, this is done quite easily when there are odd login events nd various locations/device being used for accessing the acount. It would be more secure to update recovery information nd implement two factor authentication.

Do you mean that in-phone verification thing?

It's hard lately to create Gmail accounts like before since they started the in-phone prompt verification and not just SMS verification like it was before.

The main reason is obviously to reduce mass bot creation or people creating accounts for burner usage

I’ve noticed this too I think unusual login activity and frequent changes in devices or locations can trigger extra verification
Keeping the account activity consistent seems to help

I'd recommend keeping a stable login device and network environment, and avoiding frequent switching.

Yeah, I’ve noticed this lately too. Seems like Google is getting more aggressive with verification. I’ve mainly seen it happen after changing devices or locations. Not sure if that’s the main trigger though.

ip/device mismatch trips it, especially with recycled proxies.
