Gmail account recovery - am I being scammed?

Mods, sorry for posting in Lounge. There's no Gmail section.

I'm buying a gmail account (outside of BHW) that has a gaming account attached to it which I want to play.

The seller is selling these game accounts for 25% the market price and is willing to do middleman on a trusted site.

However, my gut is telling me something is wrong.

If a gmail expert could help me what methods does he/she have to recover the email accounts and is there something I can do to stop them?

I really don't know what to do. Thank you.

Sounds like someone offered to help recover your Gmail, but it could be a scam. Be careful, never give your password or verification codes to anyone. Only use official Gmail recovery methods.

Can you make the purchase, then change the email on the gaming account itself?
