Hi,

I've been monitoring the SERPs closely from March to June 2025 and noticed a particular trend: one website — GlobeNewswire — is dominating the search results for a wide range of affiliate products.

What's interesting is that for each product or offer, they seem to have around 20 different articles published, which suggests they are likely selling sponsored posts in bulk. Upon inspecting their call-to-action (CTA) links, I noticed they're using an in-house tracking system for affiliate offers.

Has anyone else observed this? Do you know how their tracking works or if there’s a public way to access this service? or Website owner is running these on there own ?

Also worth noting — websites like Yahoo Finance and ActiveNewswire appear to be part of this strategy too. Collectively, they've outranked even high-authority platforms like Reddit, YouTube, and Quora for many commercial keywords.

Would love to hear your thoughts or insights.

Sites like:

For PR:
Yahoo Finance, TechBullion, Digital Journal, Barchart, Theglobeandmail(for Canada ranks well) and few other sites can be used to rank low hanging fruits
Parasites: Reddit, Quora, and few others. Medium no longer helps much SEO wise

Ps: Globenewswire and few other wire outlets like Accesswire rank well too

You can buy credits on Globenewire directly or any wire as a matter of fact.

Talk to them. Prices will vary based on your volume.

You will have to buy credits in advance that expire yearly/monthly based on how you negotiate.

More the volume, more the discount. :)

They will do an interview on a video call and post that ID verification.

Alternatively talk to someone who already has credits on Globenewire and buy from the reseller.

It's very competitive and risky, sellers/vendors post there too, not just big affiliates. Also they screening and rejecting articles for grayhat, blackhat niche like gambling, weight loss. Before they kinda let everything pass through.
The only one making money is globalnewswire and those who hoped on earlier and published their articles.

Yes, I've seen the similar trend: waves of syndication-based PR stories with affiliate calls to action are being published by sites like Yahoo Finance and GlobeNewswire. Probably under the influence of a few number of suppliers or even direct agreements with the networks, it is unquestionably a mass sponsored post tactic. In order to avoid standard affiliate networks and retain conversions in-house, the in-house tracking seems customized. Not visible to the public, as far as I can determine. It's a smart approach, though, because they're essentially using authority stacking to outrank everyone and converting PR sites into affiliate goldmines.

Yes, what you’re seeing is a common parasite SEO tactic using high-authority press release networks. GlobeNewswire is likely monetizing through bulk sponsored posts with in-house CTA tracking. These posts rank easily due to domain trust and freshness, and they usually layer it with varied anchors and keyword-targeted silos. Sites like Yahoo Finance and ActiveNewswire are doing the same. To reinforce their rankings, some also simulate behavioral signals using mobile proxies to mimic real engagement, which makes the strategy even stickier in SERPs.

Yes i have noticed the same. It looks like they use their own custom tracking system, may be to avoid third-party affiliate networks. I don't think it's public - probably something the site owner and their team manages directly.

Yes, this is a known strategy. These sites sell bulk press release placements, often bundled with in-house or third-party affiliate tracking. The tracking is usually custom-built or cloaked via subdomains, not publicly accessible. It’s likely the site owner or a partnered agency is running this at scale, targeting high-CPC commercial keywords. They're leveraging domain authority and syndication to flood SERPs. You could replicate it with paid placements, but access is typically via media agencies or private contacts—not openly advertised.

No, GlobeNewswire is not a parasite; it is a legitimate press release distribution service used by businesses and organizations to share news with media outlets and the public. It operates professionally and is widely recognized in the industry.

Yes, it looks like they're leveraging authority sites as parasite SEO with bulk affiliate content and private tracking to dominate SERPs.

Yes, GlobeNewswire is being used as a parasite—likely via bulk press release buys with embedded affiliate links. Most of it seems controlled by a single vendor or team. Tracking looks in-house, not public. They're leveraging domain authority + mass content to outrank even top sites.

Indeed Globalnewswire is a parasite used to sending CTA offers disguised as a press release. Even I've used them to market my offers via their reseller.

Sadly, Globalnewswire will soon have a fate like Forbes/CNN sub-pages which were de-indexed by Google.

On another forum there is a chatter that many have complained Google about Globalnewswire promoting affiliate/CPA type programs under the name of a press-release.

Wait for coming Google Core Update this September/October and we'll see whether it gets tanked.

Even Medium pages got tanked in SERPs.

I use globenewswire and the key to using it properly is the syndication.

For example I publish on globenewswire it gets syndicated on yahoo finance and the yahoo finance article ranks.
