Why would any alien race hell bent on destroying human life decide to set up shop in the ocean instead of just releasing a bio-weapon designed to destroy all human life? I mean hell they can get here from wherever they left from so they ought to be able to make a virus... right?

I'm all for the concept of aliens, but any alien life form that wanted earth surely wouldn't play some game or show any signs of preparing for war against us. They'd just kill us all in one wave. I can't imagine it would be that hard.

Personally, I'm more apt to believe aliens visiting this planet are neutral as far as humans go. Similar to how we view animal life on earth. Some humans are pro animals... others aren't.

I think it all seems a bit complicated ( like the above poster ) if they wanted rid of us surely they would blow us up or something along those lines.
