Glitch or am I blocked?

So I started a new account a few days ago and have been using the follow/unfollow strat. This is the fourth day, I got a follow block both day 1 and day 2, where I couldn't follow someone at all. However, now whenever I follow someone it shows that I'm following them and my following number on my profile goes up initially but as soon as I refresh the page it'll go back down, and even if I follow 50 people in a row Im not getting any follow backs. Is this a glitch? Or has Instagram blocked me somehow?

Wait 24 hours, don't do anything. Then, slow the hell down on everything that you were doing. Should be back to normal.
