Given a do-follow link from Youtube is valuable. Most are no-follow. Even without anchor text, this link boosts your site's authority in my opinion.

Even if it doesn't do anything for the serp, it will at least provide quick indexing while it lasts. As others have said tho', like every "loophole" or glitch that gets over used, it will be closed soon enough.

This was just enough to move my PR from a 4 to a PR5 I had been working on it for ages. Finally tipped the scale so it clearly works!

This trick is posted at rstcenter (a romanian security board) for about 2 months and no one closed that redirect even if that website is constantly checked by google and yahoo staff. Stop being so paranoid with thoughs like "if you make it public it will be closed". It won't happen in a case like this.

I blasted the youtube redirect link in sb, and google indexed it. So it should be like a profile link from an authority site. Gonna to do the same with the inner pages to my site.
