I don't know if anyone would be interested in this but seeing how I'm getting few sales on Amazon, I thought I'd start shopping it around the free circuit to generate some reviews/publicity. I'm working (with what little free time I have) on subsequent books for the series, including a novella I plan to release, but I thought that in the meantime I'd see if anyone might be interested in this.

About the book:

"The Sphinx Gambit" is a novel set in a zombie apocalypse that focuses on a female protagonist who is offered a cure for an infected child if she'll play a game of riddles with a man calling himself the Sphinx. This isn't your typical zombie novel in that the focus isn't as much on the horror of the zombies as it is on the play between various characters as they work toward their own goals within a city overrun by the undead.
So, all this said, if you download it and enjoy it, please consider leaving a review on the Amazon page (linked at the end of the book). I'm not asking you to buy anything or try to upsell you on something you don't want, I'd like to hear peoples honest opinions. Some things will probably need work but all in all, I plan to go forwards and find a publisher for subsequent books, so showing a track record of actually making sales/reviews wouldn't hurt, right? Besides, free is good.

Blurb:

Cora Whitehall came to Ether City to hide, little did she know that the city had its own dark secret. Five weeks later the streets are crawling with zombies, the local National Guard has been decimated and all forms of communication are cut off. Nothing goes in and no one comes out.

If it were just her, it wouldn't be so bad but Cora isn't alone. A little girl she saved was bitten during the Guard's rescue attempt. When Cora's supplies and hopes at their lowest, she is offered a chance at redemption. The Sphinx offers his cure but at a price, it must be won in a game of wits with nothing held back and everything on the line.

Aided by a brilliant but dangerous teenage programmer with an agenda of her own, Cora will challenge the Sphinx and even other survivors in hopes of getting the cure before the girl turns. Yet what she doesn't know is that in this game of cat and mouse, there are no winners.
