Should we set a minimum value for a giveaway?

I see some people "tricking the system", for example offering repeatedly 1 email.ru which worth between $0.001 to $0.003

I am aware that everyone does not have the same income but a giveaway should worth at least 10 cents...

Let's discuss how to patch this "cheap BHW advertising hack"

A giveaway is worth something to somebody no matter how much it's worth. Everything helps, who will determine the value of a giveaway? More work for mods if people have to get each giveaway approved and checked first

Who talking about mods approval?
Common sense will be good enough, $0.001 still worth $0.001 for everyone

Not everyone knows the value, so it's complicating something that isn't a problem. If you don't like something, you don't do it

If only a few do this there is not going to be a lot of problems but it's easy to imagine what will happen if more play this game

Sorry you didn't like it, but a giveaway doesn't have to have a value if its useful is what I meant.

By definition, a giveaway is: providing value to someone for free, so it has to have value

That said the topic of this thread is not a giveaway, it's about patching the "advertising trick".
Which is opening every day a new giveaway threads offering $0.02 of total value to display a banner

There's always the option to report any member who you seriously think are breaching forum rules.

free is free imo. the mods have been pretty good at sniffing out the scams, and cheap giveaways do seem to get some demand still so people are looking

I had the same thought as well, but the problem is, that mail.ru giveaway got a shitload of takers - so clearly there is perceived value in that giveaway.

Also, it’s true that everyone assigns value in different ways - one mans trash is another mans treasure.

I am the person being refereed to here and here is what I have to say about this:

1) This is how this started. I wasted some mail.ru by registering some accounts on a website. I use one email per account, per website. So thought to giveaway these. I gave away 3 first.

2) I gave away some some more later , 30 I guess and 28 were claimed I guess. Edit: These were fresh, I have a huge stock currently. I think they may expire as I will not be able to login in all.

3) The current one I offered (50) is one for all and is getting good response as well. Some Jr VIP also participated.

4) There is some fun associated with giveaway. This is why people spend 4-5 minutes to fill details to get a freebie.

5) I have to spend some time sending the Pms to members who claimed. That time is actually worth much more than the cost for all 1000 mail.ru that I purchased.

6) As my earnings will increase (overall) I will offer more things like articles, gmail pva, facebook accounts and instagram accounts.

Edit 7) Regarding this being a cheap advertising trick, I do not think I received any sales to my BST because of this. Mostly newbies are claiming this giveaway.

I do not break any rules in pm like sending them links to my service or so.

no because links arnt allowed for proxy samples , was told that long time ago,
this is due to , if the sample can fit in a post, a download link it pointless
