Who Fucking Cares.jpg

So March last year I gave a guy I kind of know, some advice when he asked me about investing into a business - I advised him not to.

He ignored me, got scammed and lost the money ( £10k in total ).

December he took redundancy from his job, decided to invest in a bar / restaurant ( again I advised him not to do so ). Him and 4 other investors each put in money, took a 12 month lease etc. The business is on it's knees, they're struggling to even pay rent and suppliers let alone make a profit.

This morning he messages me on Skype, telling me about this get rich scheme / investment someone was touting to him and asked my advice.

This time instead of saying - ' don't get involved, save your money' I just replied with;

Not point asking me, you ignore my advice, so do it or don't. It's your choice.

I find a lot people ask for my advice, I take my time out to give it, and they do the opposite.

Why waste my time asking in the first place??

Some people will never learn

Maybe if you tell him to go for it he might not do it :smirk: #reverse psychology

I stopped giving advice so long ago that I don't even remember now..

Men if we will use the 3:1 rule the next business that he will start should be successful
Tell him yes and take the credits after :) he will do it anyways

I've had similar experiences where I will tell somebody something, and they ignore my advice, until they hear the same exact advice from a stranger on YouTube with a bunch of followers.

I've learned:
People will listen to your advice, as long as you're a stranger on YouTube.

It is always beneficial to keep on listening to different views from different people. It doesn't mean you should accept those advices. The reason for listening to advices is that it expands your horizons. There is no harm in it. They should help you increase your thinking.

My favourite is when people I've not heard from in ages come to me and ask for advice and favours as though I'm just supposed to dish it out. In particular, when they are in relationships with total deadbeats and they still don't take the advice on board. If only the Sun would hire me as an agony Uncle.

Not advice but just the other day I messaged this guy on Skype regarding a JV from BHW. I just told him to adjust timings so we can make the JV work out and then he tells me that he is not interested just because I told him that this JV won't work unless we workout on the timings part.

Now I know why he said no because there are so many BHW members who were interested in the JV...the attitude said it all...

Yep! As many others have said,Most people already know what they are going to do before they ask,Most are just looking for validation o_O

Every passing year my attitude shifts more and more towards this path. I used to be the person who'd argue with people over every little thing: "don't do this", "this is bad", "this way leads to your demise", etc. Nowadays I mostly just sit back and watch the chaos erupt. It's not a very moral high ground, but it saves me my sanity and I get a mild amusement out of the ridiculousness of the world. It's a bittersweet kind of existence. I still throw a few "redpills" here and there to anyone willing to listen... very few people do so indeed.
