Gimp vs Photoshop

Yeah me too i love to use photoshop but to tell you frankly both of them are so nice to use it...

I have been using photoshop for about 8 years now and I prefer it to any other graphics editor. It blows gimp out of the water.. but the thing is gimp seems to load a bit faster and it is nice to do simple trimming in that as compared to photoshop. Plus gimp is free and you can never beat free.
 
i'm happy enough with Gimp seeing as it's free but then I'm not a graphic designer or intend being one. Also Inkscape for illustrations and Scribus for DTP

+1 here for photoshop. Been using it since I started freelancing (over 5 years). Use the best.
 
I have and use Photoshop on my Mac as part of Creative Suite though it can be purchased separately and it is pretty pricey. I also have but don't use GIMP on my Windows machine. GIMP reminds me of about version 3 of Photoshop but it's free and if you are using Linux, it's the best you can get unless you have Wine and even Photoshop is spotty in its performance. In the Windows world there are several fairly good programs, some free, some for minimal dollars. Corel's PaintShop Pro and related products is very very powerful, easy to use, and very inexpensive $49 to $69 from Corel.
 
I have used photoshop since Adobe Photoshop 3... It is one of the loves of my life.
 
Gimp is free, which is sup, but still it lacks way to many features and ease of use, to get anyway near PS.
 
I love using photoshop.. and im still learning new trick of photoshop.. YT is always very helpful for beginner like me..
 
Photoshop, so many tutorials online to learn how to use the program. Plus I find the interface a bit more intuitive then GIMP
 
Gimp or Photoshop is not a valid dilemma, if you have the serious intention to make a living as graphic designer. Gimp's only advantage is it's free...but you get what you pay for. Stating just a personal opinion, however.
 
I love photoshop but as a Linux user i hope they come to linux soon.

Gimp does do things that photoshop does mostly which i need. but its still not as easy as using Photoshop.

i only use ps i think i gives you a lot more quality options than gimp
